The history of a name
Traditional roots meet modern zeitgeist
Maximilian Wagner, founder, winemaker and face of the brand, has revived an old family tradition with Heinz Wagner Sparklings.
The name Heinz goes back to his grandmother Hedwig Heinz, whose ancestors were already winegrowers. His great-great-grandfather Heinrich Heinz was also a co-founder of the Kallstadt winegrowers' association. So wine is in Max's blood.
With Heinz Wagner Sparklings, he combines both family names and reinterprets traditional values with his vintages of high-quality vintage sparkling wine.
"I wanted something genuine and my own."
With his winery, Max aims to be a complete manufactory - from the grape to the ready-to-sell bottle, everything should be done on site.
