Quality is our foundation. Without compromise. That's why our
bottles are only filled with the best grapes from the region.

Following this page we tell you what else makes our sparkling wine so special.

Continuing the tried and tested

Using the traditional bottle fermentation method, our sparkling wine production meets the highest quality standards of classic sparkling wine manufacturing. In this method, the entire sparkling wine production process takes place in one and the same bottle, which is then placed on your table and counter at the end.

The deutscher-sektverband.de/lets-talk-about-sekt/herstellung explains very clearly how the entire process of traditional bottle fermentation works.

777 meters above sea level

At over 700 meters above sea level, the Heinz Wagner Sparkling Wine manufacture is officially the highest sparkling wine producer in Germany.

The spa town of St. Blasien in the southern Black Forest offers a climatic advantage with its location, allowing us to dispense with artificial cooling of our fermenting cellars. And because sustainability is an important part of our brand philosophy, we also source our green electricity from the region.

The latest building block in terms of sustainability: with immediate effect, we stoped using paper labels and switched to direct printing under the motto NO PAPER LABEL®.

Raw materials from the region

We source all the grapes and wines for our sparkling wine from the South Baden region. The special feature: unlike volcanic soils, the fertile and mineral-rich loess soil makes the wine particularly clear and fresh, providing the perfect basis for sparkling wines with a more fruity character. Because loess is also very light and serves as a good water reservoir, cultivation here is particularly sustainable and has so far managed without artificial vine irrigation systems.

Form with function

The elegantly rounded Cuvée des Sacres is one of the oldest and most beautiful shapes for high-quality sparkling wine and champagne bottles. For us, it does not only reflect our demand for beauty and perfection, it's special shape of the bottle neck also plays a decisive role in the process of traditional bottle fermentation.

Less is more

With our sparkling wine, we focus on the essentials, i.e. a cuvée of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir for an animating taste that is fun to drink. Those looking for a little variety will find differences in vintage, yeast ageing, white and rosé. Our sparkling wines are always aged on the lees for between 24 and 60 months.

The elegant 2019 vintage is currently available in our store.
